Your Daily Plan
IHT focuses on complete personal development. You will receive daily guidance and programs that will improve both on and off ice performance.
IHT will train you physically, mentally and technically while developing your leadership and life skills.
Physical Training
Hockey is a physically demanding sport. If you are not physically prepared to handle the rigors of play you will be unable to compete to the best of your abilities and/or get injured. Speed, explosiveness, agility, stamina and flexibility, the better you equip your body to handle the rigors of the game the better you will be able to perform.
Each day you will be assigned a different hockey specific physical training routine that will help you to improve each of the core areas of physical fitness - strength, speed, agility, stamina & flexibility. Players of all levels of training experience will be challenged by this program. Each exercise comes complete with video and written descriptions so you know the proper way to do each exercise.
Technical Training
We understand getting ice time is expensive and not always easy to do. Thats why we have put together Stickhandling & Shooting training programs you can complete anywhere!
Technical skill building programs are included with each IHT membership. Watch the video demonstrations to learn how to do each drill. Journal your results and graph your progress! Following these programs will IMPROVE YOUR GAME!
Interactive Mental Training
When athletes are asked what percentage the mind plays in competition and performance, most say between 50% - 80%. When asked what percentage of training time they spend on the mental aspects of their game, the answer is less than 5%. This shockingly low number isn't due to laziness or disregard of Mental Training's influence on performance, rather it comes from the limited accessibility players have to mental training programs.
